The 2016 Olympics of Rio are full of fashion with athletes spending money on class and distinction in different categories. This is a perfect occasion to admire exclusive uniforms signed by big brands and designers in the world of fashion, dressing up the bodies of the competitors, style will mark each participant country besides their sportive capacities.
The athletes looks gain more than garments of prestige, they become the sport clothing of the moment. In fact, in the inauguration ceremony, the best athletes of the world paraded, dressed in clothing from renowned international designers like “Stella McCartney”, with the firm “Adidas”, in charge of dressing the delegation of Great Britain, likewise, the competitors of Italy with “Giorgio Armani” and for the pleasure of many, “Louboutin” dressing the Cuban athletes, differentiating themselves as one of the most elegant delegations.
On the other hand, the team from the United States wore uniforms of the accredited brand “Polo Ralph Lauren”, who has dressed the athletes since the year 2008. The famous designer dressed the delegation in the inauguration with fresh models and classic elements, where the colors white, red and blue stood out, completely American tones, and will also sport them in the closing ceremony of the games.
The Swedish team walked through the “Maracana” stadium with clothing made with ecological fabric, wearing recyclable attires, in polyester garments, which they will use in the different categories and competitions, all of these from the “H&M” firm with the feature of being breathable and fast-drying.
Likewise, the French delegation competes with uniforms from the famous brand “Lacoste”, in different suits, with sport shirts as the main piece.
The Spanish team is facing different challenges of the Olympics with classical and simple designs, given by the brand “Joma”, a Spanish fashion company. The Canadian team dressed with glamour, wearing the beautiful creations from “Dsquared”, combining the traditional sporting clothing with a casual style, and the host country, Brazil, presented their team with clothing from the designer “Lenny Niemeyer” and sportswear from the renowned brand “Nike”.
Also, the multinational Colombian fashion company “Totto”, worked together with the Colombian Olympic Committee in the preparation, design and confection of the clothing and accessories for the athletes from that country, in the Olympic Games of Rio, the fabric is provided with solar filter UV 30-50, to help with the high temperature, achieving great color and transpiration. Likewise, the attire of the Venezuelan delegation is presented with the official brand “Skyros”, creating uniforms for the inauguration ceremony, entertainment clothing and formal wear.
The Olympics in Rio de Janeiro can be appreciated as one of the bests in the world, this event has brought many nations together, and their sportsmen and women are praised for their dedication and effort, but also they are showing that sports also has an impact on fashion, each country being distinguished with a unique style.
