The Iguazu Falls, meaning “Big Water”, are part of a group of more than 270 waterfalls  found in the National Park that bears the same name. They are located between the borders of Argentina and Brazil and represent one of the seven natural wonders of the world, becoming a real spectacle for the sight of those who visit them.

This wonderful park was declared a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984, which has allowed it to become an obligatory stop for those doing tourism in Argentina.

The route can be explored in three different ways; one from the bottom, another from the top and a third one from the jungle, which represents an adventure tourism. You can do it on foot or in a small ecological train that crosses the park, depending on what you choose to enjoy.

Regardless of how you decide to undertake this wonderful walk, you will be completely ecstatic about the beauty of its landscapes. When you start walking from the viewpoint, you will go down some steps that will take you to the base of one of the falls, like the Lanusse, then continue the tour to have a first view of the Devil’s Throat, one of the most important falls and the main attraction of the park, with a drop of 80 meters in the shape of a horseshoe. If you go further, you can see San Martin Island and get there by boat.

During the tour you will be able to feel the humidity through the steam of the water, and the refreshing drizzle on your face like a dew. You will admire the beautiful rainbow formed by the mist of water and the rays of the sun. You will observe some birds called swifts, which can only be seen in this place and which represent a spectacle worthy of admiration.

If, on the other hand, you want to admire the landscape from the top, it is a little calmer and the panoramic views from the viewpoints describe a much more majestic and imposing walk, as the force of the falling waters is impressive, as well as the sound of the water crashing between the rocks. You will enjoy the view of each of the falls you pass by: Floriano fall, Deodoro, Benjamin Constant, Union fall, Bozzetti, Two Brothers, among others.

There are also other attractions that go beyond the waterfalls and that require a little more audacity, adventure and risk, like the excursion to the Macuco Trail, which crosses the entire jungle and whose approximate distance is 3 kms. On the way, there are some difficulties during the tour due to the proximity to some wild animals and insects typical of the jungle. The tour culminates with the arrival to the Arrechea waterfall.

Finally, you can also take an inflatable boat with motor to sail the rapids of the river, go around the falls, get into its waters and make your adventure something you can never forget.
