Slovenian army officers have placed several security fences on strategic places all across the border between Slovenia and Croatia. Why? To control the entrance of thousands of refuges who are entering the country. These security fences will also help avoid that these refugees cross illegally from Slovenia to other territories.

Slovenia has had the need move almost all its army officers to these borders so that they may control as best as possible the entrance of those who want to enter the country illegally. The European Union supports the detainment of migrants who are not properly registered.

As a result of the militarization in Hungary borders, a massive migrant exodus has produced itself, who are trying to enter Slovenia illegally. Likewise, Austria has also begun placing security fences at their borders with Slovenia to avoid those refugees to manage to cross the first border.

Many of these illegal migrants seek to pass through Slovenia to reach other countries, such as: Germany, Austria, France, Holland, Greece, Bulgaria and Italy.

Since most of these countries have not reached an agreement as what would be done with the refugee’s situation, many of them are left stranded on different borders, ultimately created series problems. This is an issue the European Union has not been able to handle properly.

Just last week over 15 thousand refugees arrived in Slovenia, this means 2 thousand people are arriving a day. Being a small Baltic country, with only 2 million habitants, this massive flow of people immediately sets it in a state of emergency.

Reason why to prevent it system collapse, Slovenia has deployed almost all its military power to take measures to ensure the safety of both its people and the refugees which are within its borders, as of those you are out of it. Until an agreement regarding this migrant’s situation is taken, the problem will not be resolved any time soon.

These refugees arrive asking for asylum, after being exposed to long journeys across the Mediterranean Sea and southeastern part of Europe. They are fleeing their own countries escaping the current armed conflict and extreme poverty, and as they arrive to a new destination, what do they get? Their human rights are being completely violated. There are entire families in this situation and something must be done to help!
