Knowing how to assemble a first-aid kit for a trip is important, because you really never know what unforeseen situations could happen during the trip, so having one ready  with all the basics will always be quite useful for anyone on the trip that we obviously want to be pleasant.

First of all, there are basic elements that must be present in any first aid kit, regardless of its purpose, whether it is a first aid at home or a much more basic one for travel, such as aspirin for headaches, because this evil is common when travelling.

Other must-have elements are analgesics and anti-inflammatories, because the discomforts caused by a bruise do not remain outside the agenda of the adventurer. In the same way, an antiallergic is always useful in a first-aid kit, in case you get bit by an insect or have an allergic reaction after eating some kind of food. Creams to treat burns, antihistamines and patches for blisters are elements that must be included.

A determining factor when preparing a traveling first aid kit is also to decide in which equipment, bag or container we will keep everything we decide to take with us. A practical box that fits in a travel bag is not the same as a large box that, however well provisioned, is impractical for traveling. Indistinctly, it is advisable to choose one depending on the duration of the trip and practicality during the trip.

Another aspect to consider is the destination to which you want to go, as the needs and contexts change as well as their possible risks depending on the site. For a beach destination, sunscreen is essential, but not necessarily for a trip to usually cloudy mountains, so it is something to think about. The first aid kits must be adapted to the place where you are going.

Items such as tweezers, repellent, cottons, band-aids, bandages, pain relievers and the like must be included. In a first aid kit, it is better to have more than what you need than less, but obviously without  extremes.

Finally, consider that the first aid kit you take on trips should be comfortable, preferably waterproof, and it should be checked before you leave, but avoid putting it together at the last minute because you could miss something, and then end up needing that specific thing later.

One more detail that should be considered is that if you are going to travel by plane, some containers can be a problem, so checking the details with the airline is always useful.

All these details are very important when assembling a first aid kit, a valuable element in any trip. After making sure we have packed everything properly, it will help us to have a peaceful trip.
