There are people of all types, different personalities and character: positive, honest, trustworthy, who add to humanity and in some way help and benefit those who are by their side. These, perhaps represent the vast majority.  However, there is another group less emotionally healthy, more negative, manipulative, who lie and deceive those around them, subtracting instead of adding up. This type of people are those who are known as toxic people, and which must be kept away from to avoid being intoxicated by them.

You can find this group of individuals called toxic anywhere, either in your own family, at work, in the gym, within your group of friends or in the market. Well, the important thing is to learn to detect them and subtract power to the harm they can do, as they are prone to burden other people negatively, thanks to their own dissatisfactions.

They generally have the ability to know what others’ weak points are, the triggers that can detonate the anger of those people who are not toxic. They steal their energy, lower their self-esteem, and can even change their way of being.

If you are one of those who are surrounded by these type of people and do not know it, here you can find some tips that will allow you to identify these people, if you have any nearby, run away and take them out of your environment!

Among the most relevant characteristics to detect them, are:

  • They are people who complain about everything and are always the victim, everything happens to them, they love feeding the drama and everything that happens to them in their life, it is others’ fault, they are never responsible for anything.
  • The main thing for them is not to find a solution to any problem, since problems are part of their essence and by solving them they could not complain.
  • On the other hand, there are those who criticize everything and empower other people’s negative things and of which you will not escape if you are close to any of them.
  • They never smile. They are generally pessimistic and they constantly have a negative discourse that seeks to discourage others.

  • They do not allow self-criticism, because they consider that everyone who is in their environment is against them and they are not able to admit if they have bad behavior.
  • They love gossip and often lie deliberately misrepresenting all the information, as they reinvent the truth to hide the flaws of their personality
  • They try to control others. They are envious, jealous and completely unhappy, although they tend to show they are not to others.

Finally, how can you avoid conflict with toxic people? In the face of something negative, respond with something positive or respond with humor to the extent you can; to dismantle a message that seeks to make your life bitter, ignore it, since this type of person needs to get feedback from people who follow the game.
