Vipassana is a millenary technique of meditation from India, and refers to the ability to see things as they really are. Gotama the Buddha rediscovered more than 2,500 years ago and he himself taught it as a universal remedy for universal evils, turning it into an art: The art of living. Many believe that this type of meditation consists of just sitting down to study their thoughts and reflect on life, however, the reality is very different, since it consists of observing your body and mind, without any kind of reaction.

It is a non-sectarian technique, whose objectives are the total elimination of mental impurities, and achieving supreme happiness from complete liberation. It also seeks healing, not only the cure of diseases, but is more concerned about the essential healing of human suffering.

Vipassana means a path of self-transformation, simply through self-observation, concentrating on the deep interconnection that exists between the mind and the body, which is experienced directly, thanks to the disciplined attention that is placed on physical sensations of the body that are constantly interconnected with the mind and therefore, can condition it.

What removes the mental impurities is this journey of self-exploration, in which body and mind are analyzed, based on mere observation, which is capable of granting to those who practice Vipassana a balanced mind, full of love and compassion.

The Vipassana technique can be learned in ten-day retreat courses, during which participants follow the Discipline Code, which consists of refraining from killing, stealing, sexual activity, lying and using intoxicating substances. In addition, they know and practice the fundamentals of the method so that they can experience its beneficial results, however, the course requires hard and serious work.

Because it has proven to be a really beneficial technique, emphasis is placed on keeping Vipassana as close to authenticity as possible, and that is why its teaching is offered totally free, instead of being taught commercially.

However, of course the resolution of all problems cannot be expected during the course of 10 days, since these results come if continuous practice is maintained. However, the 10-day retreat provides those who perform it with the essential knowledge of Vipassana, which serves as the basis to be applied in daily life.

There are no limitations to practice Vipassana, everyone is welcome to participate in a Vipassana course and experience the operation of the technique and measure its results.

The effectiveness shown by the Vipassana has been so great that courses on this technique have been taught in prisons, having an enormous success and wonderful results. Vipassana offers those who practice it a valuable tool to achieve and share with others their supreme happiness.
